The Chronicle of Matica Srpska is the literary magazine that has been published all over the world for the longest time, without major interruptions, since 1824. The chronicle became the central place where the results of Serbian literary and scientific work were exhibited. In addition, the Chronicle systematically dealt with knowledge that focuses on the language, literature, history, religion, folklore and culture not only of the Serbian people but also of the entire Slavic world.
